A young forward from the Sydney Roosters is anticipated to be pushed out of the club, with connections to another team as he aims to revive his career after a series of injuries.

The Roosters are preparing to integrate State of Origin stars Daly Cherry-Evans and Reece Robson for the upcoming season. However, their inclusion has exacerbated salary cap issues as the club strives to retain younger players like Hugo Savala.

With the November 1 deadline allowing multiple players to engage with rival teams, this young forward appears to be the first in line to be ousted from the Bondi-based team.

Although Xavier Va'a remains under contract for another year, The Courier-Mail reports that he has been offered to various NRL clubs and is likely to find a new home in either the 2026 or 2027 season, having struggled to establish a consistent position within the Roosters' lineup.

One potential destination is the Gold Coast Titans, who have recently appointed Sharks assistant coach Josh Hannay as the head coach for the 2026 NRL season.

A former Under-19s Queensland captain, the 21-year-old made his debut in Round 12 this year against the Cronulla Sharks after spending four years in the NSW Cup, where he managed only 44 appearances due to injuries and other challenges.

The older brother of De La Salle Va'a, he is a formidable presence on the field and is eager to reclaim the momentum of his career, which once held promise as one of the most talented middle forwards during his earlier years at the Brisbane Broncos Academy.
