Injuries sideline Roosters NRLW trio

The Sydney Roosters have copped a couple of tough blows with injuries striking down key players from their NRLW squad in a pre-season battle against the Cronulla-Sutherland Sharks last Sunday.

Corban Baxter has copped the worst of it, with scans revealing a ruptured anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) and a lateral meniscus tear.

The news sidelines her for the entire 2024 NRLW season.

The poor lass will now be meeting with an orthopaedic specialist to plot out her road to recovery.

Adding to the Roosters' woes, Brydie Parker has been dealt a forearm fracture that will have her out of action for the next 6-8 weeks.

It's a bitter pill to swallow for the team.

These two unfortunate players now join Shawden Burton on the injury list, with Burton already ruled out for the entire 2024 NRLW season after tearing her hamstring during the pre-season.

It's a tough break for the Roosters who are now facing an uphill battle without these key players.

But as they say in Rugby League, injuries are just part of the game.

The Roosters will need to rally together and show some fighting spirit to overcome these setbacks and continue to push for success in the upcoming season.
