The Sydney Roosters have issued a 10-game suspension without pay to Victor Radley following revelations that he sought cocaine from former teammate Brandon Smith. This decision comes after media reports circulated about their text exchanges, which led to Smith's recent court appearance in Queensland's Southport Magistrates Court.

Although Radley has not faced any charges, the Roosters announced on Thursday that his actions have tarnished the club's reputation, and he has agreed to the imposed penalties. Radley will miss selection until Round 11 of the next NRL season and is also required to donate $30,000 to St Vincent's Hospital as part of his penalties.

In a formal statement, Radley expressed his remorse, saying, "I want to sincerely apologise to the club, my teammates, the sponsors, members and fans for the negative spotlight I have brought on the Roosters." He further stated, "I accept the sanctions in full and will work hard to earn back the trust and respect of everyone who supports this great club."
