Joseph-Aukuso Suaalii, a rising star in the Sydney Roosters squad, has made a bold move to switch codes and join the Wallabies, but according to Roosters chairman Nick Politis, this is not the end of the road for the young talent.

Despite the NRL's ongoing battle with Rugby Australia, Politis has stated that Suaalii has assured him of his return to the Roosters in 2028 after his stint in the 15-man game.

In an interview, Politis expressed his disappointment at losing Suaalii to union but also conveyed his optimism about the player's commitment to coming back to the Roosters.

"Joseph is a good guy, a good kid," Politis said, emphasizing Suaalii's character and the club's fondness for him.

Despite the reported secrecy surrounding Suaalii's deal with Rugby Australia, Politis affirmed that the Roosters would welcome him back with open arms, stating, "Always a Rooster." This revelation provides a glimmer of hope for Roosters fans and serves as a testament to the club's enduring support for their players, even in the face of code-switching controversies.
