Roosters Honour Saddler in Scintillating Performance

The Roosters paid tribute to rugby league legend Saddler with a dazzling performance against the Raiders, with James Tedesco leading the way in a display of pure class.

The Blues fullback hopeful had a blinder, weaving his magic to set up five of the Roosters' eight tries in a 44-16 victory at GIO Stadium.

After a disappointing loss to the Sharks at Magic Round, coach Trent Robinson made some bold moves and they paid off.

Victor Radley shone in his new role in the back row, while Naufahu Whyte caught the eye in the middle.

Radley set the tone with an early try, and when Luke Keary was denied a try by a controversial call, Tedesco stepped up to secure a penalty try.

The Raiders fought back through Nick Cotric, but the Roosters were in control, dominating the battle in the trenches.

With Joey Manu bulldozing his way past Seb Kris for a try before halftime, the Roosters were well and truly in the driver's seat.

Despite a few close calls and a disallowed try for obstruction, the Roosters continued their relentless onslaught to seal the win.

In a performance that would make Saddler proud, the Roosters showcased their skill and determination, proving they are a force to be reckoned with as they head into the Origin period inside the top eight.
