After just two months since his NRL debut, Sydney Roosters winger Tom Rodwell has earned a new contract that secures his future with the Bondi-based club.

The 23-year-old, who is the son of former NRL player Brett Rodwell and the older brother of Under-19s NSW Blues halfback Toby Rodwell, has signed a one-year extension that will see him stay with the Roosters until 2026.

Rodwell has spent most of his career in the NSW Cup, where he has accumulated over 60 appearances, and he previously played within the Cronulla Sharks' system.

In addition to his NSW Cup experience, he participated in two NRL Pre-Season Challenge matches in 2023 and 2024.

Finally, he made his first-grade debut earlier this season against the Wests Tigers. In that match, Rodwell impressively ran for 218 metres, assisted in one try, recorded one tackle bust and two line-breaks, and completed five tackles at a 100 percent efficiency rate, alongside making 26 passes.
