A clash of titans is expected when the Melbourne Storm take on the Roosters in the preliminary final this Friday night.

The Storm are gearing up to face the fired-up Roosters, with one of their big men potentially playing his last NRL game.

Star player Cameron Munster is well aware that Roosters enforcer Jared Waerea-Hargreaves is gunning for him in the showdown, anticipating some intense aggression as both teams battle it out for a spot in the NRL grand final.

Munster and Waerea-Hargreaves have a history of clashes on the field, with the Storm's own giant, Nelson Asofa-Solomona, also in the mix.

While Asofa-Solomona kept a low profile during media interviews leading up to the game, Munster was upfront about the looming showdown.

"That's Jared being Jared, you know, I'm not gonna sugar coat it.

I know he's coming this Friday, and that's footy," Munster said.

"It's a physical game and contact sport, not touch footy.

I know what I'm out there for, and I know exactly what he'll bring, so I'm ready for the battle.

I'm excited for it.

"We know what's on the line, and I'm sure they know what's on the line, so I'm sure there's going to be a lot of heated aggression out there on Friday night and just a matter of who controls it the best." It's going to be a showdown for the ages, with both teams giving it their all on the field.
