Sydney Roosters playmakers Sandon Smith and Sam Walker are advocating for touch football to be included in the Brisbane 2032 Olympic Games.

According to nrl.com.au, Smith, who was named player of the match during the ANZAC Day clash against St George Illawarra, has a history in touch football, having represented Australia as a junior.

Walker's brother, Jackson, is part of the Australian Emus squad.

The two athletes faced each other in an Under-12 interstate match, with Walker representing Queensland and Smith representing New South Wales.

Queensland Olympics Minister Tim Mander, a former NRL grand final referee, expressed the government's enthusiasm for incorporating a form of rugby league into the Brisbane Games, confirming interest at the Magic Round launch.
