LeagueNews.co | Nick Loken

The 2025 NRLW Telstra Women's Premiership is set to begin with exciting changes, including the introduction of two new teams and a 50% increase in games compared to the previous season.

The competition will see the debut of the Bulldogs and the welcome return of the Warriors after a five-year hiatus.

The season kicks off at Sharks Stadium, where the last year's runners-up, Cronulla, aim for a championship victory under the leadership of star center Tiana Penitani Gray.

For the Roosters, the news is mixed as they prepare to defend their title against the Warriors on Sunday.

They will be missing key player Tarryn Aiken due to a shoulder injury but will see the return of Corban Baxter, who is set to make her first appearance in the NRLW since September 2023, after recovering from an ACL injury.

Fans can look forward to receiving the latest team news and updates for Round 1 of the 2025 season as the league embarks on what promises to be its biggest and best season yet.
