In the Jersey Flegg match at Wentworth Park, the Dragons faced a strong challenge from the Roosters, ultimately suffering a 38-12 defeat.
The Roosters took an early lead with a converted try from Reed, making it 6-0 less than five minutes into the game.
However, the Dragons quickly responded; William Malloy scored off a well-executed scrum to tie the game at 6-6.
Moments later, the Roosters regained the lead as Josh Durkin capitalized on a loose ball, sprinting nearly 60 meters to score in the corner, despite a determined effort from the Dragons' Leeroy Weatherall.
The game took a turn when Durkin was sin binned for a tackle off the ball around the half-hour mark, giving the Dragons a chance to capitalize before halftime.
Despite this opportunity, the Dragons could not break through the Roosters' defense, and the visitors maintained a lead going into the break.
In the second half, Jesse Williams of the Dragons made a significant impact with a brilliant individual effort, bringing his team back to the front momentarily.
