Sydney Roosters recruit Dom Young is currently battling a severe infection that has spread to his brain, according to reports.
The 22-year-old winger, who is set to join the Roosters from Newcastle next season, has been hospitalized for over a week and will likely remain there for at least another week.
Young had been experiencing headaches and a sinus infection before flying to the UK to represent his country.
However, his condition worsened during the long flight, leading to his admission to the hospital.
As a result, he was unable to participate in England's opening match against Tonga and is expected to miss the entire three-match series.
This setback is a blow for the talented player, who played a key role in Newcastle's successful campaign last season.
