The Roosters, once seen as top contenders for the NRLW title, are now licking their wounds after a disappointing display against their arch rivals.

Skipper Isabelle Kelly didn't mince words, describing the loss to the Titans as embarrassing and a far cry from their usual attacking brilliance.

The Roosters, riding a three-game winning streak, were brought back down to earth by the Titans in a heated rematch reminiscent of last year's dramatic semi-final.

In a match that matched the scorching Gold Coast heat, the Roosters struggled to find their rhythm and were outplayed in all facets of the game.

Completing just 56 percent of their sets and only controlling 29 percent of the territory, the Roosters were simply outclassed by a Titans team hungry for revenge.

Kelly didn't sugarcoat the defeat, admitting that everything that could go wrong did go wrong on the day.

The team is feeling the disappointment and embarrassment of their performance, with Kelly acknowledging that it was uncharacteristic of the Roosters to play so poorly.

As they dust themselves off and regroup, the Roosters know they need to bounce back quickly if they want to stay in the hunt for the NRLW title.

With their pride on the line and a point to prove, the Roosters will be looking to channel their inner champions and show the league why they were once favorites to lift the trophy.
