The Roosters have re-signed another international player as their pre-season retention drive shows no signs of slowing down.

Roosters forward Sitili Tupouniua has signed a three-year extension as he looks to fight his way back into the starting side after serious injuries derailed his past two seasons.

The 26-year-old has played 85 matches for the Tricolours since he made his debut in 2018, with the Tongan international now locked in until 2027.

It's been a rough few years for Tupouniua, who suffered an ACL tear in 2022 and then had his 2023 campaign cut short due to a serious neck injury.

"This club has become a second family to me, so I'm really happy to continue my journey with the Roosters," he said.

"I'm committed to giving my all for this club and I'm excited to contribute to the team's success in the coming years." He becomes the latest Roosters player to re-sign with the club after Nat Butcher, Sandon Smith, Billy Smith, Connor Watson and Siua Wong all put pen to paper, while NRLW stars Jess Sergis and Tarryn Aiken also inked new deals this week.
