Many thought Victor Radley's season was as good as finished when he went down in a heap against the Raiders, but with the help of some Roosters legends, he defied the odds and made a triumphant return in last week's win over Manly.
Radley, known for his tough-as-nails playing style, suffered a fractured left scapula in the final round of the regular season, leading many to assume he would be sidelined for the remainder of the year.
However, after seeking advice from former teammates and receiving a positive prognosis from a specialist, Radley was able to lace up his boots once again.
Starting the game against Manly, Radley wasted no time making an impact by opening the scoring.
Despite being forced to take a break after 30 minutes and spending the remainder of the game on the bench, Radley was grateful for the opportunity to be back on the field.
Reflecting on his injury scare, Radley admitted, "I thought I was a goner for sure.
I was in so much pain, I can't even describe it.
But with the support of my teammates and some tough love from Roosters legends, I was able to push through."
Now, as the Roosters gear up for the preliminary final, Radley is ready to give it his all, with a new sense of determination and gratitude for every moment he gets to spend on the field.
In his own words, "Screw it, it's do-or-die in finals footy, and I'm just grateful to have the chance to lace up my boots and go to battle with my brothers."
