The Sydney Roosters have seen many club legends depart in recent years, marking the beginning of a new era in Bondi.
Jared Waerea-Hargreaves, a key figure who left the club in 2024, is now set to make a comeback, although he won't be back on the field after his retirement from rugby league.
The 36-year-old is poised to rejoin the Roosters in a mentoring capacity. According to the Sydney Morning Herald, 'JWH' will return to Bondi to guide and coach the young talents of the club, aiding in the development of the Roosters' next generation of players. As he transitions into the next phase of his career, Waerea-Hargreaves will bring nearly two decades of experience to foster the emerging stars of the club where he made his mark during the 2010s.
He is set to join the team in 2026 and is expected to play a crucial role in the development of the Roosters' youth.
