The Roosters from roosters.com.au are buzzing with excitement "Kelly's heroes: Injured Roosters stars driven by pain of defeat", a tale of determination and courage that even the most experienced Rugby League legends would admire.

Isabelle Kelly, the star centre for the Roosters, channeled the pain of past playoff heartbreaks to push through a dislocated elbow and lead her team to the grand final showdown against the Sharks.

Leading up to the Roosters' thrilling 25-16 victory over the Knights, Kelly had her right elbow strapped up tight after a grueling injury sustained in a match against the Eels in Round 9.

Despite the odds stacked against her, with ruptured ligaments and bone bruising to boot, Kelly was determined to take the field at Allianz Stadium for the crucial semi-final clash.

But Kelly was not alone in her valiant return to the field.

Joined by fellow injured stars Tarryn Aiken, recovering from an AC joint injury, and Jess Sergis, battling a knee issue, the trio inspired their teammates to elevate their game and conquer the reigning premiers.

Roosters coach John Strange lauded the bravery and grit displayed by Kelly, Aiken, and Sergis, highlighting how their determination to overcome injuries and fight for victory had lit a fire under the rest of the squad.

In the world of Rugby League, where toughness and resilience are revered traits, these injured warriors truly embodied the spirit of the game.
