Roosters forward concussed, injury nightmare continues

LeagueNews.co | Cooper McEnroe

In the 2025 NRL season opener, the Sydney Roosters faced a major setback as forward Victor Radley sustained a concussion during their match against the Brisbane Broncos.

Radley, who had scored the opening try of the game, was forced to leave the field in the first half and will miss the upcoming game against the Penrith Panthers due to the NRL's mandatory concussion protocol.

With a history of concussions, there are concerns that Radley may have to spend even more time on the sidelines, making him a significant loss for the Roosters' already depleted forward pack.

This injury adds to the Roosters' woes, as they are already dealing with injuries to players like Jared Waerea-Hargreaves, Sitili Tupouniua, Egan Butcher, Nat Butcher, and De La Salle Va'a.

The full extent of Radley's injury is yet to be determined, but it is a blow for the Roosters as they look to navigate a challenging start to the season.
