Roosters Throw Their Weight Behind LA Team for Vegas Debut

The Sydney Roosters main man Nick Politis confessed to feeling torn loyalties after Greece scored a surprise entry into the NRL Nines tournament in Sin City.

According to nrl.com.au, Politis, alongside fellow Roosters bigwigs like Mark Bouris and CEO Joe Kelly, were front and center at Silverbowl Park to witness the debut of their newly rebranded Los Angeles Roosters squad.

Greece and the United States are squaring off in a two-game showdown in Vegas, with both teams making a last-minute appearance in the Nines tournament due to unforeseen circumstances - in this case, light pole thieves causing havoc with the schedule.

After being one of the elite NRL teams to hit the field at the inaugural Vegas event at Allegiant Stadium last year, the Roosters saw fit to invest in the American market.

The LA Roosters are set to take the field in this year's USARL competition, and the club has gone all in with a West Coast Academy and sponsorship of the USA Hawks - sparking talk that the Test series should be renamed the Nick Politis Cup in honor of his support for both teams.
