The NSW Sky Blues have scored themselves a new head coach in the form of Sydney Roosters NRLW coach John Strange.
The announcement comes hot on the heels of Kylie Hilder stepping down from the role, following a couple of losing seasons against the QLD Maroons.
Stepping up to the plate in 2021, the 48-year-old Strange led the team to victory in the 2022 Women's State of Origin series, with the competition expanding to three matches under her watch.
Despite the success, a shake-up was deemed necessary.
Rumors were swirling before the official announcement, with former St George Illawarra Dragons NRLW and Samoan international coach Jamie Soward, as well as Wests Tigers NRLW coach Brett Kimmorley expressing interest in the coveted role.
It's a new era for the NSW Sky Blues with Strange at the helm, ready to tackle the challenges ahead and aiming for victory in the upcoming season.
