The Sydney Roosters have announced the exit of five players following their elimination from the 2025 NRL Finals last week at the hands of the Cronulla Sharks.
Previously, it was confirmed that Chad Townsend (retired), Ethan King (North Queensland Cowboys), and Ethan Roberts (Wests Tigers) would leave the team at the end of 2025. Now, the Roosters have disclosed the addition of two more departures.
The players departing include Sandon Smith and Zach Dockar-Clay, who are reportedly heading to the Newcastle Knights and Manly Sea Eagles, respectively.
During the Roosters' awards night, coach Trent Robinson indicated that Sandon Smith would be joining assistant coach Justin Holbrook at the Knights.
