The Sydney Roosters have teamed up with the LAPD and Watts Rams to host a rugby league clinic that's making headlines.

Youth from one of the US's largest housing projects in Watts were given a taste of the proud history of the Roosters and shown potential pathways to the NRL.

With Sydney Roosters CEO Joe Kelly making a special appearance, 17 LA Roosters players, both male and female, took charge of coaching the eager youth from Verbum Dei Jesuit High School, Watts Rams, and Lincoln Rams co-ed youth American football programs.

The Watts Rams, established back in 2013 in collaboration with the LAPD and Project Blue, not only focus on sports but also prioritize academics, creating positive connections between local youth and law enforcement.

This initiative has received backing from none other than the NFL's Los Angeles Rams.

Located in one of the largest housing project areas in the US, Watts proved to be the perfect backdrop for this rugby league clinic, offering a much-needed uplifting experience for the local youth.

Kids had the opportunity to participate in skill stations and engaging games of tag rugby league, interacting with LA Roosters players and learning the basic techniques of the game.

This event was more than just a clinic - it was a chance for the youth to come together, learn from experienced athletes, and potentially pave the way for a bright future in the world of rugby league.

Cheers to the Roosters, LAPD, and Watts Rams for making this unforgettable day happen!
