Taneisha Gray has recently made her debut for the Roosters in the NRLW, marking a significant milestone in her rugby league career.
Stepping onto the field during Round 1 in front of over 50 family members at Allianz Stadium, the 19-year-old forward exemplifies the success of the Roosters' female development pathway program.
Gray's promotion to the top 24 squad in 2025 came after an impressive season with the Central Coast Roosters in the Harvey Norman NSW Women's Premiership, where she showcased her defensive skills, energy, and professionalism.
Her debut highlighted the dedication and perseverance that have characterized Gray's journey, making her hard work visible to a broader audience.
This drive aligns with the Roosters' commitment to nurturing young female talent, providing them with the necessary time, tools, and opportunities to excel at an elite level.
Gray's pathway through the system is a testament to its strength; after starting her career with St George Dragons in the Tarsha Gale Cup, she joined the Roosters in 2024, became part of the Central Coast Roosters, and earned selection for the City U19s.
Earlier this year, Gray reached another milestone by earning her first senior representative jersey, being named in the Māori All Stars team for the 2025 All Stars competition, alongside fellow Roosters.
Her progression within the sport reflects not only her capabilities but also the effectiveness of the Roosters' investment in female pathways.
