Sydney Roosters stalwart Jared Waerea-Hargreaves could be looking at a lengthy spell away from the action after copping a charge from the Match Review Committee (MRC).
Breaking the club record for most appearances on Sunday against the St George Illawarra Dragons, Waerea-Hargreaves has been hit with a Grade 2 Careless High Tackle charge.
If he decides to plead guilty early, the front-rower will be sidelined for three weeks, but that could extend to four weeks if he chooses to challenge the charge and is unsuccessful, due to it being his third offence of this kind.
In more bad news for the Roosters, Michael Jennings and Jaydn Su'A are also in hot water with the MRC for Grade 1 Careless High Tackles, each facing a fine of $1000-15000 for their actions.
