The Roosters website is buzzing with news of the recent triumphs of the Kangaroos and Jillaroos in the Pacific Cup finals.

The Aussie teams showed true grit and determination, battling it out against Tonga and the Kiwi Ferns at the packed CommBank Stadium.

Led by Tom Dearden and Isaah Yeo, the Kangaroos took an early lead and held on for dear life as Tonga made a spirited comeback fueled by a wave of red-clad supporters.

It was a real nail-biter, but the Aussies came out on top with a 20-4 victory.

Meanwhile, the Jillaroos dominated their rivals and maintained a comfortable lead throughout the match.

With Tarryn Aiken and Ali Brigginshaw orchestrating plays and solid defence, they secured a 24-4 win, only conceding a try in the dying moments.

Fetu Samoa also had a sweet victory over the PNG Orchids, earning themselves a promotion to the top tier of the Pacific Cup.

Coached by Jamie Soward, Samoa had already qualified for the 2026 World Cup and sealed the deal with their impressive performance.

Although the Orchids will be relegated to the Pacific Bowl next year, they can take pride in their previous achievements, having made it to the semi-finals of the 2022 World Cup.

The competition was fierce, but the Aussie teams certainly rose to the occasion and showed why they are world champions.
