Storm winger Will Warbrick, a fresh face in the Kiwis squad, will take the field against Australia in a showdown that promises to be full of intensity and passion.

With eight rookies making their international debuts, coach Stacey Jones is looking to build on the success of last year's Pacific Championships victory over the Kangaroos.

The squad may look different this time around, but the goal remains the same - to dominate the competition and come out on top.

Led by Dally M Medal winner Jahrome Hughes and a talented group of NRL stars, including Warriors fullback Charnze Nicoll-Klokstad and Dolphins winger Jamayne Isaako, the Kiwis are ready to take on their trans-Tasman rivals.

Not without its challenges, the Kiwis have had to make some adjustments due to injuries and suspensions to key players.

But with a new captain in Premiership winner James Fisher-Harris at the helm, and a mix of experienced players and up-and-coming talent, the team is determined to leave it all on the field.

As coach Jones puts it, "While we've had some setbacks, we are thrilled to be playing in front of the home crowd and ready to showcase the Kiwi spirit on the field.

It's time to show the Aussies what we're made of and make the mark in Rugby League history once again."
