Rising star halfback Ronald Volkman has confirmed that he is making a comeback to the NRL with the Parramatta Eels, sealing the deal with a signature on the dotted line.
Volkman's journey has been a real rollercoaster ride, with a horror show unfolding in late 2023 and carrying over into the early stages of 2024.
Originally on the Warriors' roster and boasting five NRL games and a single Test appearance, he was let go by the Auckland-based club at the end of 2024.
After a brief stint with the St George Illawarra Dragons, it was revealed that his contract with the team was never officially registered by the NRL, ultimately resulting in a failed medical examination.
As a result, the Dragons found themselves in hot water with the league for their role in the messy situation, while the Warriors stepped up to cover Volkman's expenses for his recovery and treatment.
It's been a wild ride for Volkman, but now he's back on his feet and ready to hit the ground running with the Eels.
Fans of the game will surely be eager to see what he brings to the field in the upcoming season.
