Robinson Caps Off Comeback with Inaugural NRLW Player of the Year Award
According to bulldogs.com.au, Bulldogs fullback Andie Robinson has been named the Club's inaugural NRLW Player of the Year following an impressive season. Co-Captains Tayla Preston and Angelina Teakaraanga-Katoa were also recognized, with Preston winning the Members NRLW Player of the Year and Teakaraanga-Katoa receiving the NRLW Coaches Award for their leadership during the season.
Five-Eighth Ash Quinlan was honored by her teammates as the NRLW Players' Player of the Year, while Moana Courtenay earned the NRLW Rookie of the Year title in her debut season.
Andie Robinson has capped off a significant comeback by securing the NRLW Player of the Year award. After suffering a serious knee injury that kept her off the field for the entire 2024 season, Robinson made a remarkable return, claiming the no.1 jersey upon joining the Club. The agile fullback averaged 70 minutes of play, participating in every match for the Bulldogs. Her season statistics include two tries, three try assists, 30 tackle breaks, and six line breaks, alongside an impressive average of 144 metres per game.
Notably, Robinson ranks fourth in the NRLW for total kick return metres. The 23-year-old played a crucial role in the team's historic debut match against Newcastle, assisting Moana Courtenay in scoring the Club's first-ever try in the NRLW.
