At the recent RedZed Melbourne Storm Player of the Year awards night, members of the Storm Academy program and the wider Jersey Flegg and SG Ball outfits were recognized for their outstanding performances.

Keagan Russell-Smith, the captain of the Jersey Flegg team, was awarded the inaugural Melbourne Storm Academy Player of the Year award.

This comes as no surprise, as Russell-Smith has made a significant impact since joining the team in Melbourne.

His disciplined approach to training has set the standard for his teammates, and this has translated into stellar on-field performances.

In fact, Russell-Smith topped the points scoring tally in the Jersey Flegg competition, proving to be the key conductor behind Storm's attack.

Not only does he score and lay on tries, but he is also a sharpshooter from the kicking tee.

His polished and professional approach to rugby league has made him not only a standout performer but also a much-loved teammate.

Meanwhile, Poasi Manu was crowned the Darren Bell Jersey Flegg U21s Player of the Year for his hard work as a forward, and Dickie Terepo was named the Greg Brentnall SG Ball U19s Player of the Year.

The Melbourne Storm is proud of these young players and their contributions to the team's success.
