"Hungry to learn": Manly rising star signs first NRL contract
Emerging rugby league talent Hugo Hart, a back-rower for the Manly Sea Eagles, has secured his first NRL contract after just starting his rugby league career this year. This contract will facilitate his entry into the club's Top 30 roster.
Hart, who was recruited from St Joseph's Nudgee College in Brisbane, has demonstrated exceptional performance over the past eight months, rapidly advancing through the club's pathways system.
Having played fewer than 20 matches, Hart has signed a three-year agreement with the Sea Eagles. He will be on the development list for the first two seasons before transitioning to the Top 30 roster for the 2028 NRL season.
"I've really enjoyed my time at the club this year and I have learnt so much from both the players and the coaches," said Hart.
"It's a great club to be a part of, and I've felt right at home from day one."
"I'm really looking forward to the next few years and hopefully the start of a long and successful career here at Manly."
