Departed Versatile Penrith Panthers Forward Confirms New Home for 2026
Riley Price, one of the 13 players bid farewell by the Penrith Panthers, has officially announced his future after signing with a new club, despite interest from overseas in the Super League.
The son of NRL legend Steve Price, Riley has been exploring new opportunities over the past couple of months. Following his recovery from an ACL injury, he regularly featured for Penrith's reserve-grade side.
At the early stages of his career, the adaptable forward has secured a one-year contract with the Redcliffe Dolphins in the QLD Cup, where he will play alongside Brent Woolf, Jordan Plath, and Patrice Siolo.
This decision follows discussions with several Super League teams, though a transfer abroad did not come to fruition.
During the 2025 campaign, Riley made 13 NSW Cup appearances, achieving three tries, 11 tackle busts, three offloads, and accumulating 385.1 post-contact metres. He also registered 288 total tackles, averaging 90 running metres per match.
Additionally, he has played three NRL games, with his latest appearance in Round 26 of the 2025 season, and previous outings with the North Queensland Cowboys in 2023.
