After parting ways with the Penrith Panthers, forward Riley Price is actively seeking a new contract for the 2026 season and has reportedly been offered opportunities with several teams.
At 24 years old, Price was a regular member of the Panthers' reserve-grade squad this year, having returned from an ACL injury that sidelined him for most of the previous season. Despite showing flashes of his potential, he has struggled to secure a consistent place in the first-grade lineup.
As he currently lacks a contract for next season, All Out Rugby League indicates that Price's management has presented him to various teams in the Super League. This comes at a time when the international league has expanded its quota for overseas players from seven to ten.
Riley is the son of ex-NRL star Steve Price, who represented both Australia and Queensland. Over his brief career, Riley has made three appearances in NRL first-grade, with his latest being in Round 26 of this year's season. He also played twice for the North Queensland Cowboys in 2023, having progressed through their developmental programs and earning a spot in the Under-20s Queensland Emerging Origin squad in 2020.
