Mark Riddell, a former NRL dummy half, has confirmed his return to the St George Illawarra Dragons in an assistant coaching role for the NRLW team.

This move marks another step in Riddell's lengthy coaching journey, which began after he retired as a player in 2011.

Having debuted with the Dragons in 2001, Riddell-nicknamed "Piggy"-has had a notable playing career.

He completed 92 games for the Dragons before moving to the Parramatta Eels, where he played an additional 86 games.

His career also included a two-year stint at Wigan and a final chapter with the Sydney Roosters.

In recent years, Riddell has transitioned to coaching, focusing on the women's game and coaching at the SG Ball level, while also engaging with the media.
