Reviving Broncos' glory: Maguire named head coach

LeagueNews.co | Jess Malloy

The Brisbane Broncos have appointed Michael Maguire as their new head coach, with hopes of returning the club to its former glory.

Maguire, a former NSW Blues coach, was the top contender for the job after Kevin Walters left the Broncos.

"Opportunities like this don't come around often," Maguire told NRL media.

"I'm a career coach who thrives on the day-to-day grind.

While my time with the Blues was an incredible experience, I'm hungry for another title.

I won't set a timeline, but I'm determined to work tirelessly to bring success back to the Broncos."

Maguire's appointment signals a new era for the Broncos, with fans hopeful that he can steer the team to greatness once again.

Time will tell if Maguire can lead the Broncos back to their former glory, but one thing's for certain - he's ready to tackle the challenge head-on.
