Home World Cup is where the heart is for Reuben
Cowboys forward Reuben Cotter is honored to have represented Australia in a World Cup, but the prospect of doing so on home soil in 2026 adds a significant level of pride.
During the 2022 tournament, Cotter made his Test debut as a substitute against Fiji in Leeds, later earning a starting position in Australia's impressive 66-6 victory over Italy at St Helens two weeks later.
The Kangaroos secured the championship with a 30-10 win against Samoa in the World Cup final and are eager to defend their title in 2026 when the prestigious event returns to Australia.
Since then, Cotter has accrued an additional nine Test caps, including a triumph in the 2023 Pacific Championships against Samoa, played at Queensland Country Bank Stadium in his hometown.
In that match, the diligent middle forward showcased his energetic playing style during a 30-minute role off the bench, amassing 91 run meters and making 19 tackles.
