Reuben Cotter has committed his long-term future to the North Queensland Cowboys, signing on with the club until the end of the 2028 season.

Already locked in for the 2025 season and beyond, Cotter has solidified his place in the team by extending his contract for an additional three years.

A pay increase comes with the deal for Cotter, who has established himself as a key player for both the Queensland Maroons and the Australian national team.

As one of the co-captains for the Cowboys, Cotter's leadership and skill on the field have not gone unnoticed.

Having been with the Cowboys since he was just 15 years old, Cotter has grown through the club's pathways to become an integral part of Todd Payten's squad.

Cowboys' general manager of football Michael Luck praised the signing as "a hugely important day" for the team.

In a sport where loyalty and teamwork are valued above all else, Cotter's commitment to the Cowboys is a testament to his dedication to the game and his teammates.

As the Cowboys look towards the future with Cotter by their side, fans can expect to see even greater success on the field.
