Renee Tatana is recognized as a Women in League role model for her invaluable contributions to the Sharks.
Humble and hardworking, she plays a crucial role in supporting young athletes, many of whom are living away from home for the first time, as they navigate the Sharks Academy.
Together with her husband Kent, she runs the 'Sharks House', which offers accommodation and a nurturing environment for young footballers relocating from overseas or interstate to pursue their NRL ambitions.
Renee's friendly and generous nature has a profound impact on the Sharks community.
She emphasizes the importance of fostering a supportive atmosphere for young male athletes, stating, "It's my third season with the Sharks.
I work in the junior male wellbeing pathways.
The role, I'd like to think, is about helping to create a safe space for the male athletes and empowering them with the tools to cope with the added stresses an athlete has.
And just to help them honour their potential in what they want to do, regardless of football." Her dedication and caring approach make her an invaluable presence within the organization.
