Rising star Relna showing Gen Next what's possible
During the inaugural NRLW Indigenous Round, Raiders young talent Relna Wuruki-Hosea is making her mark in history.
Although her team is still in search of its first win of 2025, the 19-year-old feels optimistic for a turning point after scoring her first try.
Representing her Indigenous and Torres Strait Islander heritage, Wuruki-Hosea found personal significance in her try, which came in the 47th minute at GIO Stadium.
Originating from Badu Island in the Torres Strait, home to less than 800 residents, she honors both her culture and community.
