The Malcolm Reilly Challenge Trophy will be contested again when the Sea Eagles face off against the Knights at McDonald Jones Stadium in Round 14 of the 2025 Telstra NRL Premiership.
This annual trophy is awarded when Manly meets Newcastle for the first time each season, commemorating Malcolm Reilly-a legendary Sea Eagles forward and former Knights coach.
Reilly, recognized as one of the greatest English players in Australian rugby, played 89 games for Manly from 1971 to 1975 and contributed to their premiership victories in 1972 and 1973.
He later guided Newcastle to its first premiership, overcoming Manly in the 1997 Grand Final.
Earlier this year, Reilly was diagnosed with cancer but has since recovered and is in good spirits.
His son, Glen, will present the trophy to the winning team on Thursday night.
