St.
George Illawarra Dragons head coach has expressed frustration over refereeing decisions during his team's narrow one-point loss to the New Zealand Warriors.
While acknowledging his side's own mistakes and decision-making, Flanagan particularly criticized several questionable calls in the first half that added pressure on the Dragons.
He highlighted a specific incident involving Corey Allan: "When we got 50 per cent of the possession, it started to turn.
The first half, some of the decisions that we got put us under too much pressure," Flanagan stated during his post-match press conference.
He mentioned a particular ruling that Allan played at the football during a last tackle, which he felt contributed to the Warriors scoring.
Despite pinpointing the refereeing issues, Flanagan recognized that his team also contributed to their struggles, admitting, "As I said there were a couple of decisions that made it hard for us, but that wasn't just the referee.
That was us as well.
We made it hard for ourselves."
