Reece Walsh is standing tall in the face of the Blues' threats to go after him in game two, showing the true grit of a Maroons superstar.

The fiery clash in the series opener, where Joseph-Aukuso Suaalii laid a brutal hit on Walsh, has only fueled the fire for the upcoming game in Melbourne.

Despite the high and late shot that saw Suaalii cop a four-game ban, Walsh has put the incident behind him after clearing the air with the NSW rookie.

A true display of sportsmanship, both players exchanged cordial messages as they set their sights back on the field.

In classic footy fashion, Walsh knows the rough and tumble nature of the game, understanding that clashes like these are all part of the sport.

With a steely resolve, he is ready to face whatever comes his way as the Blues target him once again at the MCG.

But true to his Maroons spirit, Walsh remains unfazed and ready to help his team secure the series win with a show of strength on the field.
