Broncos legend Corey Parker has urged the Red Hill club to make superstar fullback Reece Walsh the highest-paid player in the organisation's history.
As it stands Walsh will reportedly earn just $400,000 in 2024, with his current deal expiring at the end of 2025 after making the switch from the Warriors.
The Daily Telegraph is reporting Broncos powerbrokers have already begun discussions to upgrade his contract amid a salary cap squeeze.
Brisbane are also negotiating extensions for Adam Reynolds and Ezra Mam, while veteran backrower Kurt Capewell is reportedly set to join the Warriors.
Upon returning to the Broncos, Walsh was one of the NRL's best players and as such, Parker believes he is deserving of a huge payday.
"I think he should be the highest-paid player in the club's history," Parker told The Daily Telegraph.
"It's a big call, but he's a big talent.
He's a superstar and he's only going to get better."
