Rising star Liam Ison has shared how his interests in fashion and photography have aided him during his ACL recovery as he gears up to return to the field next year.

The talented fullback has been out of action since injuring his knee in the first match of the NSW Cup season, but he is set to make his comeback during the Pre-Season Challenge.

Ison is viewed as the Sharks' future No.1, especially with Will Kennedy's anticipated departure, yet the ACL injury provided him an opportunity to consider life beyond football while he completed his rehabilitation.

At just 20 years old, Ison has a longstanding passion for fashion and photography, which inspired him to invest time in developing his clothing label, Setter.

This endeavor offered a much-needed distraction from the psychological challenges of a rigorous nine-month rehabilitation period.

If circumstances change, Ison could step into the No.1 role by 2027.

While he aspires to claim the jersey for himself eventually, the burgeoning talent emphasized that his current priority is to absorb as much knowledge as possible from his experienced teammate.
