Cody Ramsey's inspiring Rugby League journey takes a significant step forward as he has been called up to train with the Westpac NSW Blues in the Blue Mountains, according to dragons.com.au.

Currently the captain of the Dragons in The Knock-On Effect NSW Cup, Ramsey is among four players selected, which also includes NRL Dragons forward Hamish Stewart, Wests Tigers centre Adam Doueihi, and suspended Canterbury-Bankstown Bulldogs back-rower Jacob Preston.

This opportunity marks a remarkable comeback for Ramsey, who just two years ago faced the unsettling prospect of leaving Rugby League due to a diagnosis of ulcerative colitis.

This serious condition led to a weight loss of 28 kilograms and necessitated surgery to remove his large intestine.

Reflecting on this turnaround, Ramsey stated that the opportunity to train with the Blues came through Dragons and NSW assistant coach Dean Young, though he initially believed it was for the NSW Under 19s team.

Ramsey's journey from adversity to this prestigious training opportunity highlights not only his resilience but also his commitment to the sport.
