Sharks centre Jesse Ramien is gearing up for a showdown with his old mate Bronson Xerri in Friday's match against the Bulldogs, aiming to come out on top like a true champion.

Ramien, who once wore the black, white, and blue jersey, will face off against his former club for the first time in over four years.

Back in the day, Ramien and Xerri were like two peas in a pod, with Ramien paving the way for the young gun to make his mark in the NRL.

But fate had other plans, as Ramien headed to the Knights while Xerri rose to the occasion and played 22 games in 2019.

After a brief reunion in Cronulla in 2020, Xerri's downfall hit hard when news of a positive drug test rocked the league world.

With Xerri sidelined for four years, Ramien found himself back in the Shire and ready to face off against his former teammate once again.

Ramien knows he can't afford any slip-ups against Xerri, who has been making waves since getting a second chance with Canterbury.

It's game on for these two as they prepare to go head-to-head in what promises to be a fierce battle on Friday night.

Watch this space as Ramien aims to outshine his old sparring partner and claim victory on the field.
