In a wet and wild showdown at Belmore Sports Ground, Wests Tigers were defeated 22-10 by the Bulldogs in Round 9 of the Jersey Flegg Cup.

The Tigers' centre, Maxwell Taotua, made a valiant effort just one minute into the second half, scoring a try that was converted by Zakauri Clarke, narrowing the Bulldogs' lead to 12-10.

However, Bulldogs' five-eighth, Cassius Tia, quickly retaliated with a try of his own, extending his team's lead to 18-10 after successfully converting it.

Despite a gritty defensive struggle for the next 20 minutes, Bulldogs' winger, Ragarive Wavik, broke through the Tigers' defenses to score another try, putting the game out of reach for the Tigers.

This defeat marks the end of a three-game losing streak for Wests Tigers, who will now look to bounce back in their upcoming match against the Knights at Lidcombe Oval next Sunday.

Tough times ahead for the boys, but they'll be aiming to turn the tide and secure a much-needed win.
