The Gold Coast Titans NRL club has been forced to move their training to Sydney due to flooding caused by ex-Tropical Cyclone Alfred.

The team's training fields are submerged underwater, with one facility also damaged as a result of the wild weather conditions.

Despite the challenges, CEO Steve Mitchell expressed the club's concern for those in the region affected by the heavy rain and winds, saying, "For many people on the Coast and across the region, the last few days have been challenging to say the least as families have dealt with the rain and winds that have battered their homes." The Titans will continue to prepare for their upcoming match against the Bulldogs in Sydney and are determined to make their communities proud from Logan to Lismore.

Mitchell emphasized, "the thoughts as a club are for those across the region that are doing it tough as a result of this weather event and immense rainfall that has followed." The team remains focused on being ready to play in Round 2 of the NRL season despite the displacement caused by the flooding.
