Raiders forward Peter Hola faced a setback in his Super League plans but will be staying put in Australia.
The prop, who has only played two NRL games for Canberra since his debut in 2023, had hoped to make a move to the UK but visa troubles got in the way, according to reports from League Express.
The new regulations allow younger players with experience in the NSW or Queensland Cup to play in the UK, but at 25, Hola fell short of the criteria.
Despite being on the market as a free agent, the Raiders didn't offer him a contract extension, prompting him to join the Redcliffe Dolphins feeder team for a fresh start.
But with a new opportunity on the horizon, Hola will be looking to make a splash and reignite his career with the Dolphins.
Here's to hoping the move pays off and Hola can make a name for himself once again in the rugby league world.
Best of luck to the young gun as he takes on this new challenge Down Under.
