Canberra will play Wests Tigers again in the opening weekend of the 2026 NRLW finals, after finishing fifth and beating them 22-10 at Leichhardt Oval.
The victory secured the Raiders' first finals appearance, following a fifth-place finish in 2023 when only four of 10 teams qualified.
Mackenzie Wiki and Leianne Tufuga each scored, reviving a partnership formed at an Auckland high school, where they played rugby sevens together.
"It's been a great combo. We've known each other since we were 16," Wiki told NRL.com.
Tufuga joined Canberra in 2025 after 28 matches for the Roosters and Wests Tigers.
"It's such a great feeling to play with her again, to reconnect. Now we're like two peas in a pod."
Canberra also overcame captain Simaima Taufa's three-match suspension, with Chloe Saunders, Sophie Holyman and Hollie-Mae Dodd helping dominate the middle.
"We had a lot to play for tonight and 'Mima' was part of that," Wiki said.
Wiki's try was her 10th of 2026, making her Canberra's leading scorer and matching Ruben Wiki's 1996 total for the club.
Ruben Wiki played a decade with Canberra before finishing his career with four seasons at the Warriors.
"We are excited for finals footy," Wiki said, crediting the team's work over several seasons.
