Raiders re-sign Tamale: A deal that's a steal

LeagueNews.co | Jess Malloy

The Canberra Raiders recently announced the re-signing of outside back Savelio Tamale on a two-year extension, now securing him until the end of 2028.

Originally contracted until 2026, Tamale transitioned from the St George Illawarra Dragons to the Raiders ahead of 2025.

His presence is vital for the team; in the current season, he has scored 6 tries in 14 games, averaging over 150 meters per game.

Although he is currently sidelined with an injury, he's expected to return in time for the finals.

Reflecting on his decision to stay, Tamale stated, "The club has been unreal since the first day I got here, it really does feel like home now." This re-signing is seen as a significant move for the Raiders as they continue to build a competitive team.
