Raiders Coach Remains Unfazed by Struggles

Raiders players look dejected during a 2026 NRL match.

Canberra's coach Ricky Stuart remains unfazed by the Raiders' challenging start to the NRL season.

After claiming the minor premiership the previous year, the Raiders find themselves with a disappointing 1-3 record after four rounds.

Their offense has notably struggled in 2026, averaging only 16.8 points per game, a stark contrast to last season's 26.7.

Currently sitting in 15th place on the ladder, their sole victory came in a nail-biting 29-28 match against Manly, thanks to Ethan Sanders' golden-point field goal.

In light of these challenges, Stuart maintains that the team's spirit remains intact.

"I've been in worse positions than this," Stuart said.

"We'll get through it because they're a resilient bunch. There's probably more panic outside than there is inside.

"It's round five. It's not going to be the only difficult period that we go through this year."

As they prepare for their upcoming match against the fifth-placed Knights, the Raiders are focused, looking forward to a highly anticipated game in Newcastle this Sunday.
